A new record has been established in our region, as today marks the end of the IFLA Asia-Pac LA & Luminary Awards entry period in which we reached over 250 submissions! We’d like to thank each and every one of you for your contributions leading up to this great milestone.  It is heartening to see the industry strive for recognition; now it is up to our team of judges to commence their in-depth assessment according to each of the given categories. We wish you all the very best on the outcome of your submission.

As you are aware, this month is “World Landscape Architecture” month! Join us in celebration with social media posts of your country’s landscape architecture works with #WLA2019 tags. Let us spread the distribution and appreciation of diverse landscape designs across the world!

Timor Resilience Building Project Update 

roject Sidara finally achieved its goal of providing water for people of the local village on 27 March when artisian water came flowing from the well which had been sunk to a depth of 72m. The children, women and elders of the village were overjoyed. This project will proceed to the next phase soon, where we will do farm land improvement works and teach the villagers some livelihood skills with input from our landscape fraternity. View video.

Excitement about new building projects in Hong Kong appears to be at an all-time peak. After a three-year redevelopment programme, they welcomed the reopening of the Avenue of Stars, a cultural landmark and promenade along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront. The refreshed and updated walkway has an aesthetic vision of which Hong Kong is surely in need.
