Dian Heri Sofian

Dian Heri Sofian is a professional Landscape Architect, a member of Indonesia Society of Landscape Architects (ISLA) or Ikatan Arsitek Lansekap Indonesia (IALI) in Bahasa. He joined the association in 2006, and was elected as the President in 2019 for the first period and re-elected in 2022 for the second period until 2025.

Dian Heri Sofian was graduated from Department of Architecture of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) in 1996 and finished his Magister Degree in Landscape Architecture from the same institution in 2001. He has been practicing as a Landscape Architect since then. His passion in Landscape Architecture has rewarded him travelling around and involving in several landscape architecture projects across the country with various scale and type from institutional buildings to airports, from resorts to offices, from master planning to detailed landscape design in a particular site. Some of his works have been constructed while some are still under construction. During his professional practices, he has been invited as a professional judge in several landscape design competition in Indonesia as well as a speaker in a seminar and lecture as practicing lecturer at several schools of Landscape Architecture and school of Architecture in Indonesia.

During his professional journey, Dian also appointed and actively as an Advisory Board member of the Landscape Architecture Magister Program at School of Architecture Planning and Policy Development (SAPPD), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB).

Dian uses multiple approaches in his design, especially when the project related or intended to specific cultural condition in a designated site or area as well as biodiversity crisis being faced in Indonesia.
