Dr Sridevi Rao is a Landscape Architect based in Hyderabad, India. She received her Doctorate from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi in 2002. Since 1981 through her Firm, Sridevi Associates, she has completed more than 200 major projects all over India with a focus on industrial and infra landscapes to reduce water, soil and air pollution. She has presented and published papers in various international fora and journals, respectively. She is the author of the book entitled, 'A Measure of Community: Public Open Space and Sustainable Development Goal 11.7’ published by Notion Press, Chennai in 2016. She won the first prize for the international competition that was held for the landscaping of the setting for the Buddha statue in Hussain Sagar Lake, Hyderabad, among others.  Her project on Reclamation of Opencast Mining was listed in the ‘Outstanding Category' in the Rolex Award for Enterprise, Switzerland. She engages actively in guiding doctoral students from various universities in India.
