Mexican Landscape Architect and Visual Artist. Graduated from the National University of Mexico (UNAM). With more than 25 years of experience practising in the fields of urban landscape design and regional landscape planning.

Master degree in Visual Arts from the UNAM at San Carlos Academy with the orientation in urban art. International Course on Landscape Design and Planning at the University of Agriculture in Wageningen, The Netherlands (2000), in which she was invited as guest professor for the design studio in 2001.

She participated as project developer and project coordinator in relevant firms such as GDU/Mario Schjetnan and TYMSA. She leads her own practice since 2008, developing projects on an urban, regional and architectural scale; including two important parks in collaboration with the UNAM Institute of Biology.

Coordinator of the Diploma Course in Sustainable Garden Design at the Faculty of ARchitecture, and professor of landscape design at the Landscape Architecture Programme, at the UNAM.

She has focused her interest in the relevance of participatory design in landscape projects and is involved with civil associations.

Member of the Mexican Society of Landscape Architects (SAPM) since 2006, and of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA). Mexico’s delegate to IFLA (2010-2020), Secretary General of IFLA Americas Region (2014-2018), immediate past Chair of IFLA Communications and External Relations Standing Committee., and current President of IFLA Americas Region. Member of CLARB Board of Directors.

She has presented lectures and papers in national and international conferences, focused on the importance of landscape architecture in the urban context and public space -based on her experience- and their vital influence to recover the green system within the city and the quality of life, inclusiveness and equity for the population.
